Wolfstock is an annual music festival hosted by my local college radio station. For this project, I created a visual system to promote the event across posters, merchandise, and stage design. The work pulls from retro concert posters, past Wolfstock designs, and input from the radio members to reflect the personality of the event.

goals
Hook
Inform
capture attention through retro inspired visuals that stand out and invite viewers to learn more
communicate important details, date, location, and performers, in a quick and easy way for potential attendees
Reflect
Expand
create an identity that echoes the influence of Woodstock updated to match modern styles and radio staff taste
design visual elements that can be used in many different layout for different purposes around the festival
Set the Tone
Color explorations started with brighter palettes that felt too intense for the event. These options created the wrong energy and distracted from the laid-back feel of the festival. The final palette uses a soft blue in a gradient and a deep red, paying homage to the university colors.

Expand the Lineup
The original layout was designed for six performers with a clear and balanced hierarchy. When a seventh performer was added late in the process, the layout had to be reworked to fit the new information. The final design keeps the structure intact while maintaining readability and flow.
Beyond the Poster
Thinking beyond the current scale of WOLFstock, I explored how the branding could be applied to different merchandise and event materials. This included t-shirts, lanyards, staff badges, banners, and entrance gates. Each piece helps build a more immersive and consistent festival experience.

Move with the Music
Animated stage backgrounds were created to play behind performers during their sets. The motion is smooth and subtle to match the laid-back tone without becoming distracting. This allows the visuals to support the performance while staying in the background.
Wolfstock is a community-driven event with a strong identity, and this project builds on that through a cohesive visual system. The designs combine retro inspiration with input from the radio members to create something that feels both personal and functional. Across all applications, the work shows how one visual direction can stay consistent while adapting to different formats.
